Why stock Fork?

Because it’s a great read and we’d love you to stock it in your shop - as simple as that! It’s your essential guide to local, organic and seasonal food. It celebrates independent producers and artisans and is the definitive guide of where to get the best food in your region, whether it’s a farm shop, farmers’ market, deli or gastropub. We think you’ll love it, and we think your customers will too.

You don’t need to sell other magazines to sell Fork. It can sit alongside your existing products or popped in the holder and kept near the till. Why not try out one issue to see how you get on?

Stocking Fork is easy

There’s no cost. We simply post you the new issue and with each magazine sold you take 50p of the £2.50 cover price. That’s a healthy 20%. You can take between 10-100 copies, it’s entirely up to you. The first issue you stock comes with a complimentary cardboard table top magazine stand for you to use in your shop.

Fork is published bi-monthly, that’s six issues per year and we’re more than happy to supply point-of-sales promotions such as posters and flyers.

What else?

We will also feature you in our Market Place directory as an eighth page advertisement. This section details all our stockists and appears in both the magazine and on our website. Being featured on these pages is a great opportunity to advertise your business for free.

Who is Fork?

We’re a small, independent publishing house that is dedicated to making Fork an exciting magazine for people to read and enjoy. It is edited by Mark Taylor, an experienced and respected food writer who has written for The Sunday Times, The Guardian, Financial Times and Independent on Sunday. He was also food editor and restaurant critic on the Bristol Evening Post and Western Daily Press for more than a decade. He has close links with many of Britain’s top food writers, all of whom read Fork magazine. It’s printed on uncoated, recycled paper and uses vegetable inks so there are no nasty chemicals. We don’t use large distribution networks or lorries and pack each order ourselves. We’ve chosen not to distribute through big outlets such as Tesco or WHSmiths prefering to build a core of independent stockists throughout the UK.
